Samuel Graham, Jr. became dean of the Clark School on October 1, 2021 after serving as the Eugene C. Gwaltney Jr. Chair of the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

A recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER Award, he serves on the advisory board of the Engineering Directorate of NSF, the Science and Technology Advisory Board for the Department of the Navy, and chairs the Emerging Technologies Technical Advisory Committee of the U.S. Department of Commerce. He is a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Association for the Advancement of Science, and a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations.

Graham earned his B.S. from Florida State University and his M.S. and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech.
