Background

Dr. Donghun Park obtained his PhD from the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) in 2008. He is a currently a research faculty at the Laboratory for Physical Sciences (LPS), a university/government joint research institute to advance the physics and engineering behind information science and technology and an associate research professor/lecturer at the University of Maryland College Park. He has more than 30 years of experience in RF photonics, integrated optics, and printed hybrid electronics. He worked at a telecommunication startup company Telinker Inc. founded in 2000, where he developed a VoIP gatekeeper server and voice recognition system. He is also the Chief Engineering Officer (CEngO) and Co-Founder of 3DFlexible, Inc., where he leads the development of post-processors for intelligent 3D hybrid printed electronics, and founded chrononAI, LLC in 2024, focusing on AI-driven technology solutions. . He has more than 50 publications and has received seven SBIR/STTR and government funded project awards, totaling ~$4M. He is also teaching a RF/antenna class at UMCP and the University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland (USMSM) for students mostly from Naval Air Station Patuxent River (NAS Patuxent).
