Dr. Majid Raissi Received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland where he also served as a postdoctoral research associate. He has more than 20 years of industry experience in the field of communication networks and his experience spans a wide range of areas including performance evaluation of networks and protocols, network simulation, tactical networks, network monitoring and troubleshooting. Dr. Raissi is currently a lead project manager at Riverbed Technology and is involved in multiple projects on optimizing the operation of enterprise networks and applications. Dr. Raissi has been teaching graduate level courses at the University of Maryland since 2003 and his topics of interest include network performance analysis, softwared defined networks and artificial intelligence in network monitoring.
